ATVridinMaNiAc Posted October 21, 2012 Report Posted October 21, 2012 My banshee seems to make a pinging noise just on the right side, you can hear it just when idling and in low rpms and its coming from up front obviously. It starts 1st kick always and runs strong but im not sure what the right side pinging is about i figure its possible that something in my carbs might be weird, i need to get rebuild kits for em anyway. i synced them a while ago but im bout to check again. Also the right side is the side that has a small dent on the head pipe just a few inches away from the head not sure if that could do it.When i did a comp check last month i think left was 118 right was 115 if i remember right. Just curious on anyones input on this, thanks Quote
rjdgriff Posted October 21, 2012 Report Posted October 21, 2012 My cousins shee has a pinging sound on the left side, but if we put pressure on the pipe it stops making the noise. Try that... Quote
old put-put Posted October 21, 2012 Report Posted October 21, 2012 How is the o ring on the right side header, are the springs tight on that side? Check the cheap and easy stuff first. Good luck with the problem. Quote
ATVridinMaNiAc Posted October 21, 2012 Author Report Posted October 21, 2012 Alright never thought about that ill try moving the pipe around see if it changes, yea the exhaust springs are fine and the o rings dont leak or anything. Quote
