seized motor

i believe that my motor is seized after riding last night it completely shut down on me and now it wont kick over.....not sure how it happened any ideas what could of caused it?? or what to look for so i can tell what went wrong??

Simply start by pulling the head and go from there. Post pics and someone will chime in.

Might as well just ask the bike, because you'll probably get farther.

So your saying that you can stand on the kicker and it wont budge??

best way to fix it is tow it behind a truck say maybe 50 mph pull clutch in and put it in 1st gear and let clutch out.... let us know how it goes

So first thing I think that water mixed with my oil while riding because as soon as it died on me I checked to see if I had coolant had plenty but then I went to look at my dipstick that's when I realized that water had gotten in it the oil came out white and kinda heavy gum like.....before I started riding I went trough a full check up on it had plenty of water and oil was good so I'm guessing it over heated and I didn't notice it until it died.... I'll have pics tomorrow

how were u mixing the gas?? and u might have froze something up in the bottom end

I was doing a 40:1 mix and it was a fresh mix..... I just finished pulling the motor out so tomorrow ill know if I froze something in the bottom end but like I stated before I was riding and it slowly died

Ive melted top ends down and they died slow and when cooled down wouldnt kick over at all. I would guess it overheated blew head gskt etc. Probably just the top end but should be easy to find when you tear it down.

Whatever shit was in your oil will have nothing to do with the topend of the motor. You most likley have some type of crank or topend damage. fried rings. Unless some something came loose on the clutch side and jammed up. Start takin shit apart.

yeah it seems like it over heated im gona have a buddy take a look tomorrow to try to determine what exactly happened......i just got an estimate to totally redo the whole motor for 1500 and itll be stroked so im debating my options

u can get a nice ported 4 mil for 1500. however you gotta figure out what caused this damage in the first place so it does not happen again

yeah i got a good idea of what happened just waiting to get my hand dirty this afternoon to actually see the damage suck to be at work and not be able to do nothing...lol
