Cainha Posted October 6, 2012 Report Posted October 6, 2012 I have some doubts about that choose to mount exhaust on my banshee ... I'm undecided between dmc alien, pro circuit and toomey t5. does anyone can help me choose? Anyone have dyno tests with the original and modified engines with different models of exhaust? Quote
special06shee Posted October 6, 2012 Report Posted October 6, 2012 i had t5s on my banshee, from stock, to ported stock cyl., to 4mil ported stock cyls. i liked them! seemed to work well for me!! my 4mil made 71.5hp with t5s.. probably could of got a little more out of it with some tuning.. but i dont think you can go wrong with t5s as long as you motor is relativly mild Quote
Barras394 Posted October 6, 2012 Report Posted October 6, 2012 t5s were built for practically stock banshees.. even the toomey makers will tell u that.. they are not nearly as motor mod friendly as the other 2 pipes u hav mentioned... ive got aliens on mine and like them.. although louder than the pros, they hav a straighter shot out from from head to tail pipe, giving them a tiny bit drag pipe characteristics.. special06shee Posted October 6, 2012 Report Posted October 6, 2012 t6s might have a bit more bottom end over the t5s if the banshee is in stock form, but the t5s will pull harder on the big end!! with that said, who the hell leaves a banshee in stock form? youll end up doing motor work down the road!! and even if you dont, IMO the t6s arent as good as the t5s even on a stock banshee!! i never ran the other two pipes that your comparing too, but i heard good things about both!! Cainha Posted October 6, 2012 Author Report Posted October 6, 2012 and an engine ported advising? Quote
special06shee Posted October 6, 2012 Report Posted October 6, 2012 (edited) as far a porting goes.. call a builder and explian exactly what your after!! they will tell and do what is best for your needs! and if you plan on porting id hold off on the pipes and wait to see what the builder recommends!! might be a complete different pipe then you even asking about Edited October 6, 2012 by special06shee Quote
250rbanshee Posted October 7, 2012 Report Posted October 7, 2012 I've owned two banshee's and the only pipes I have experience with are the Pro Circuits. I love 'em for trail riding and play riding. And they can make great power on a ported set-up as well. All depends on what you're trying to accomplish. Quote
Barras394 Posted October 7, 2012 Report Posted October 7, 2012 ahh yes.. sry your right about the t5 and t6.. I gurss I was thinking backwards on them.. sry for the miss info Quote
ATVridinMaNiAc Posted October 9, 2012 Report Posted October 9, 2012 You really cant go wrong with any of those pipes honestly, just preference. The t-6s are built for non ported mostly stock banshees i doubt theres a better pipe for a stock banshee period. After more and more mods t-6s dont compare to t-5s, pcs and other pipes. From what i know between your choices i think the T-5s have a little bit more mid to top power while the Dmc and pcs are better on low to mid power, not saying the dmc and pcs suck on top end but i think the T-5s have a little bit of an edge on the high RPMs. Quote
