fastforworddad Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 Got maier plastics, full set in carbon fiber white. The grill in radiator cover is shit. Want to know if any has tried using OEM radiator cover with Maier plastics, the front fenders and the tank covers. Searched and dug up some old threads, but didn't find a concrete answer one way or the other. Wayne Quote
Nieskes Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 I have oem tank and rad cover with maier bottoms, works fine. Quote
fastforworddad Posted September 9, 2012 Author Report Posted September 9, 2012 I have oem tank and rad cover with maier bottoms, works fine. I have all the maeir pieces and need to know if the stock radiator cover will work with maier tank cover, only want to use the radiator cover, I'm hoping it will work with minimal modding. Let me know what you think and thanks. Wayne Quote
Bad one ton Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 I have a maier rad. Cover and stock plastics and the rad. cover didnt fit worth a shit. The stock cover fit fine. Im not sure if this helped you. TON! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Glenyboy Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 They will fit together, the maier front grill I have never fitted properly. It gaped from where it bolts on the side all the way to the top. Get jd to do you a contrasting carbon wrap for your stock grill, maybe in red or black? Quote

I would if I could, but my stock stuff is in storage until we repatriate back to the states from Qatar. I was just going to order a radiator cover online and have it shipped to me but would like to know for sure the OEM rad cover will work with the maier plastic- tank cover. The radiator cover in blue is around 60.00 with the grill and the tank cover is around 38.00. I was hoping to see someone with a banshee that had the OEM radiator cover where I ride that would let me try it on for fitment. Thanks guys Wayne Quote
ECshee Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 should fine fine, i got back and forth all the time. Ill either run stock tank plastics and maier rad shroud, or maier tank plastics and a stock shroud. In all honesty, i rarely run 100% maier stuff. Mix and match bitches Quote

Glenyboy Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 As above you can mix and match, my maier grill fitted bad so I put the stock one on maier tank covers. Quote
10milbansheerider98 Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 I am using fullbore plastic just front towards the tank thats it, it works better than joint plastics (stock) if you want email me at [email protected] and ill send u pic of my plastic setup which should be so simple for you, it bolts on tight and doesnt crack or make rattle noises at all Quote
Glenyboy Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 (edited) Fullbore are totally different design to the plastic we are discussing, the maier plastics the guy is talking about are stock replica's. Thanks for your input anyway. Edited September 9, 2012 by Glenyboy Quote
