BlownSVT03 Posted September 16, 2012 Author Report Share Posted September 16, 2012 Ok so the black white stripe wire is not working as I thought... I'm still having the same problems from the beginning... I checked the switches they look fine, removed the wiring harness from the frame to insure. No breaks any where! However I am an outboard engine tech and all I do all summer is diagnostics on engines and it seems to me like its gotta be a grounding or wrimg issue as both switches are unlikely to be bad at once .Check the switches with a good meter and make sure they do what they are suppose to all the way thru the harness and I bet you'll find it Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Starwriter Posted September 16, 2012 Report Share Posted September 16, 2012 Unplug the CDI box. Connect your multimeter to the black and black/white wires at the CDI connector. Your multimeter should show open circuit with the kill switch in the run position and just a few ohms of resistance in the stop position. If you don't have that, then things are not OK.
