doug Posted July 30, 2012 Report Share Posted July 30, 2012 Hi There, I want to run EGTs on my bike to prevent it from blowing up. Of course, jetting will be correct, however, I want to have a failsafe. Having said this, can anyone recommend an EGT that a) doesn't need batteries and will kill the motor in the event it is running too hot? Tedder Posted July 30, 2012 Report Share Posted July 30, 2012 I have a Digitron DT54K on my 1/4 mile asphalt bike and a DT51K on the wifes but neither will shut the motor down. I spoke briefly with my friend and he mentioned it was a "stutter box" which caused the engine to "hesitate". I'll do some more digging and pick something up. It can't hurt.
