Lighting question.

Recommended Posts

Been thinking about doing the dc conversion on my shee, but what will happen with the stator if I did the conversion and ran 2x55 watt bulbs? It will be for max half an hour. Will it toast my stator or will the battery take most of the hammering?

I'm sure I've read a stock stator can't be wound to make huge amounts of wattage, maybe squeeze an extra15-25w max.

Also remember you lose wattage through a dc current

Go with some led lights, I've just fitted some 6w gu10 bulbs in my kitchen and it's like having floodlights on!!

Don't some of the trailtechs use a gu10 or mr16 type bulb??

Mr16 are 12v, so you could put a led bulb in a trailtech unit. They come with a 35w halogen a 6w led puts out 50w equivalent. You may even be able to get more than a 6w led bulb

That way you won't have to boost your wattage, just do the dc conversion
