help with rich banshee

hi i have a 2000 banshee with , tors eliminator , tommey 6 pipes , k n air filter , everything else stock .

 

 

main jet 280

 

pilot 25

 

screw 1.5 turns

 

i live in panama * sea level , the bike is running extreme rich , should i use 200 or 260 main jet ????

First thing is to find out where the bike is running rich at!! I dont think your main will be to far off from the 280s you have in!! Id say your needle position is what you have to work on!! A plug chop will get you dialed in for the main size!!

Thanks for the help , so I need to move the clip on the main needle I have it in the 3rd pos , stock

 

 

Should I move it 1 lower or 1 upper???

Forgot to mention the rich is in the beginning then at half throttle it get fixed

Move clip up one to start! That will lower the needle in the main jet.. There for blocking the flow of fuel!!

Youll just have to try and see!! Might have to move it two positions! Just move it one at a time tho then take her for a rip to see if its good or not!!Good luck

hi i just try moving clip 1 up and it feels better now but still rich , but thanks for the help , im using vitto rebuild kit for banshee , i take a picture of the main needle i use to have and the one im using this moment

 

 

the gold one ( short one) stock

 

the silver one (long one) vittos kit , actual using

 

 

why is longer ???

 

should i use the gold one ????

Ernesto the stock needles are fine with your mods. It looks like the vitos needles are a bit thinner at the low throttle taper which would make it very rich. I would use the stock needles. There is no reason the vitos needles need to be that long.
