drbanshee Posted June 17, 2012 Report Posted June 17, 2012 Hi guys I got a 421 cub with 34 mikuni flatside carbs setup up for methanol. Runs ok until about a third of a throttle, after the powerband hits it boggs, do you guys think that I need more fuel or less fuel, spark plugs are a little wet. Any information will be helpful. drbanshee Posted June 19, 2012 Author Report Posted June 19, 2012 I would feed it and see what it does. I raised the needle up all the way and it still doing the same thing. I'm going to install a pvl ignition soon and see if its my stock ignition. Thanks for the reply. Quote

special06shee Posted July 15, 2012 Report Posted July 15, 2012 If your not sure if its a lean or rich condition.. Alway add fuel first to see if the problem gets worse or better!! Quote
360CICJ Posted August 7, 2012 Report Posted August 7, 2012 If its bogging on topend it's probably too much fuel loading up in the cylinders and not being burned off. What's your setup and what size jets are you running? Did this just recently start to happen or is this after a major change or rebuild? Quote
