So my buddy just bought a new shee. We are going through it all to clean it up. So far so good, very few issues. Anyway I'm a little confused with the set up. K&T head with 18cc domes, stock carbs, stock stroke, stock bore, stock crank.. Oh and CPI BB inframes. Stock timing plate with the holes egg shaped to advance the timimg banghead !! It has 175 PSI in both cyl. 310 mains, 25 pilot. Plugs are black and wet. Original owner said he ran pump gas. Bought it out of Utah. Why in the hell would anyone do this?? Thanks for the input.

He obviously doesnt know shit. Switch back to 21cc's or get racegas. As for timing plate its prob adjustable. And for the CPI BB Big Bores are meant for over 485cc so your going to need small bores.

as your elevation increases your dome size can get smaller and cranking compression can stay the same. maybe they were up there and those 18cc domes were fine.

Yeah I agree about not knowing shit!! Its not an adjustable plate, well not a aftermarket one anyway. No timing marks anywhere. Just spun it to the back of the over drilled holes!! How would it run with bigger domes and still running the BB?? Oh he even used the llittle splash guards around the main jets as the gasket. So he put the guard on then the jets.. WOW.. :jesterlaugh: He said K&T built it 10 years ago.

I'm the one who bought it, and he rode Little Sahara. Sooo roughly the same elevation as St. Anthony's which is where we will be riding (5000ft). Here in Boise, 2550ft elevation is where we got the 175psi. I haven't found a good chart showing elevation and compression psi except from NOSS. From their chart I should be ok on pump but I'm not sure. I plan on calling K&T and seeing what they would recommend but any input from someone running this high of elevation would be appreciated!

So I found this post on here, http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=87695 and it looks like I have small bore pipes. They are 1" od so that problem is solved as long as those measurements are correct. Does anyone know for sure what they have for pipes and are able to give the measurement of them? Mine are not stamped if it matters..
