I would like to upgrade my banshee and buy a air filter, whats the best between the ones who plug directly on the carburator or the k&n oem style. I used to ride on dusty road. is it a good first mod? Does it need to be jetted? if so How?

thanks a lot

You will get more air flow by running pods (filters straight off carbs) also it makes taking carbs out alot easier for tuning. HOWEVER if there is ANY water in your riding spots stick with an air box because they will suck in water you ride through and destroy your motor. So all in all they provide much better airflow and access. Yes you will need to jet if you decide to go this route you will need to richen up a bit. Hope i helped you out a bit. This will not make you see a huge power diffrence compared to pipes/timing but it is a good way to make it run a bit better and neaten things up.

Get some pipes as well. Since you have to rejet for the new air filter, you might as well get pipes too. There are great deals on this forum for used pipes, or you can look on ebay. Trust me, it's worth the money just for the sound ! And you will gain some noticeable HP! :headbang::cheers:
