Finally got my custom battery box dialed in.

Details:

  • precision laser cut/cnc formed/TIG welded from .125" 5052 aluminum
  • powdercoated to your choice
  • sized to fit the battery dimensions you specify (length x width x height)
  • mounts to the air box tabs.
  • allows the use of my coolant relocator bracket so you can keep the coolant res. in the stock position.
  • has a slot in the front so you can hold down the battery with a set screw of your choice.
  • has a hole in the bottom so you can push the battery back out with your finger.
  • has drain holes at the bottom edges.

$100 shipped for the box alone (to your specs, your choice of powder color)

$120 shipped for the box AND coolant res bracket (again, to your specs and choice of powder color)

Paypal: [email protected]

Here are some pics of the first box that I did, which fits the battery shown

Weight is just under 1 lb

Mounted with coolant res bracket. Uses stock bolts on air box tabs. So obviously, this will not work with stock air box.

Thanks guys, and yes you could use this as a little tool box! I think I will come up with a top that can easily attach.

JD, Does that thing clear the rear shock resevoir when the suspension is full compressed?

Great question Snop, I have ridden the bike but have not bottomed her out completely. I will do that today and report back!

Yes, it does work just fine. Since the shock reservoir compresses with the frame, the distance between the box and reservoir stays constant throughout the suspension travel.

When I saw these boxes, that wasn't even the SLIGHTEST concern of mine, JD. The upper shock mount doesn't move. Great boxes at a great price!

If someone buys one of these boxes to do a DC conversion and wants to run some of my LED lights, send me a PM and I'll give you an immediate 10% discount on your LED lights.

Made some changes to the design, slapped my logo on there and made some changes so the coolant bracket fits like butter. I can make the box fit any battery size. Let me know!
