BLOODRAGE Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 whats the easyest way to get my tires straight.just changed a tie rod end what should the measurement be for the correct distance from center tire to center tire (need a sleep, cant think worth of shit) Quote
Dunes98 Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 Just make the front of the tires 1/2" closer than the back side of the tires. A little toe in will help it track better. Just my op.. Quote
BLOODRAGE Posted March 13, 2012 Author Report Posted March 13, 2012 i changed the tie rod end because it was bent and would pull to the right.still does the same.wonder if my swing arm is bent Quote
toytech Posted March 14, 2012 Report Posted March 14, 2012 i changed the tie rod end because it was bent and would pull to the right.still does the same.wonder if my swing arm is bent is it a stock swing arm? if so you need to keep it square in the swing arm when adjusting the chain, or it can pull one way or the other. Just my op.. 1/2 inch is too much, it should be 0 to 1/8 inch toe in. A little toe in will make it track better. If the caster or camber are off it will pull to one side. Does it actually pull or are the tires just not straight ahead when the bars are? Quote
BLOODRAGE Posted March 14, 2012 Author Report Posted March 14, 2012 it actually pulls.when i let go of the handle bars it wants to go to the right.ill have a look at the carrier ajustment today. Quote

Sheeny350 Posted March 15, 2012 Report Posted March 15, 2012 (edited) ill try it later today,if it warms up lol I just replaced both of mine a few days ago. I got a piece of string and set the bars straight. tie the string to the back sprocket and wrap it around the back tire until it just touch the side wall of the back tire.... take the string the hole way to the front of your quad and tie it to something heavy so it doesn't move...now you have a straight line to go off of and align the front end ..ive done it to three quads and its worked great for me. mine didn't pull at all.
