Flyinrazrback Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 I just bought me another banshee, traded my other one for a YFZ and hate it so got another one. Found a like new 2006 black limited edition. The only mods it has is a set of FMF gold series pipes, boyesen reeds and a K&N air filter in the stock air box. I am looking for any other mods I can add without having to re-jet. It is jetted perfectly now and I have no clue how to jet these things so looking for a few other mods that I can just plug and play. It is fast enough for me for now, but a little bit more won't hurt. Any ideas on where to start? Quote
Jeremy_bell_banshee99 Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 I cant think of a mod that doesnt require re-jetting. Look up vids on jetting on youtube. What type of riding do you do? Quote
gotta_goatsfast Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 A-arms, entry level shocks (works dual rates or econo elkas) send out your rear shock to SoCal suspension, upgrade your wheels/tires. Quote
Flyinrazrback Posted February 27, 2012 Author Report Posted February 27, 2012 Thanks all. I have new wheels and tires on it (Duro Hookups) so may start with engine mods and have someone put it all together and jet it. My other banshee was a 4mm stroker with dune port, T5s, etc but it was not trail/farmland friendly which is where I do all of my riding. It was best suited for drag racing (way I bought it). I want to keep this one where I can trail ride. I like the FMF pipes because they seem to have better low end than my T5s did so want to keep them. I think I will change my intake to either the Toomey 2:1 or just the bolt on K&Ns. I might go with a Cool Head and adjustable timing plate as well. The motor is a long way away from a rebuild so will wait to do the internals and porting until then. Quote
Flyinrazrback Posted February 27, 2012 Author Report Posted February 27, 2012 One other thing I just noticed is that I have the FMF gold series pipes, but the stock pipes and mufflers in the rear. Would I gain anything by switching those out? Quote
Jereme6655 Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Why do you say your old banshee was setup for drag racing when it had T5 pipes? Quote
