I have run through the craigslist ads and not really seeing what I am looking for. Looking for a nice restored bike, powder coated frame, etc. Prefer a modified bike but not looking for a drag bike. Wanting one that I can still ride in the fields, etc. I might consider one farther away but I would have to arrange shipping if more than 4-5 hours away from northwest AR. Best way to reach me is text, 4798831378.

Flyinrazrback replied to Flyinrazrback's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Well, called Jeff at FAST to get the parts I needed and he recommended a 300 main so will give that a try. -
Stock airbox to pods gains?
Flyinrazrback replied to Flyinrazrback's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Thanks I am running the lid right now. I am thinking on taking the quad over to passion racing and let them do a 4 mil build. -
Jetting from stock air box to pods
Flyinrazrback replied to Flyinrazrback's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Lid is still on. I need to ad tors mod too. -
Going to switch out my stock airbox/K&N filter for a set of pods. Current mods are Boyesen reeds and FMF Fatty full exhaust with the FMF 260 jets. Currently at 500' MSL. Thanks!

Stock airbox to pods gains?
Flyinrazrback replied to Flyinrazrback's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Thanks, how about jetting? Currently has the 260 jets that came with the FMF system. Elevation is 500' and gets up to 100 in the summer. -
My 2006 is stock except Boyesen reeds and FMF Fatty exhaust with Powercore II silencers. Is there much to gain by eliminating the air box, adding PODS and rejetting? I will also be doing the TORS mod as well.
-
I also noticed Passion is in Tulsa as well so will hit them up too.
-
Thanks, I thought about sending my motor off to FAST, but prefer to be able to just drop off my bike and let someone do it all.
-
Anyone have sandtrax in Tulsa port their banshee? They are close to me and looking for someone to do a rebuild/port job on my 2006.
-
Quick question, my 2006 banshee has FMF Gold series pipes but has the stock silencers in the rear. Would I be gaining anything by adding the powercore 2 silencers to my setup?
-
I am looking for a like new condition set of FMF Powercore II mufflers. If you have a set PM me through here or email [email protected] with info and pics.
-
One other thing I just noticed is that I have the FMF gold series pipes, but the stock pipes and mufflers in the rear. Would I gain anything by switching those out?
-
Thanks all. I have new wheels and tires on it (Duro Hookups) so may start with engine mods and have someone put it all together and jet it. My other banshee was a 4mm stroker with dune port, T5s, etc but it was not trail/farmland friendly which is where I do all of my riding. It was best suited for drag racing (way I bought it). I want to keep this one where I can trail ride. I like the FMF pipes because they seem to have better low end than my T5s did so want to keep them. I think I will change my intake to either the Toomey 2:1 or just the bolt on K&Ns. I might go with a Cool Head and adjustable timing plate as well. The motor is a long way away from a rebuild so will wait to do the internals and porting until then.

I just bought me another banshee, traded my other one for a YFZ and hate it so got another one. Found a like new 2006 black limited edition. The only mods it has is a set of FMF gold series pipes, boyesen reeds and a K&N air filter in the stock air box. I am looking for any other mods I can add without having to re-jet. It is jetted perfectly now and I have no clue how to jet these things so looking for a few other mods that I can just plug and play. It is fast enough for me for now, but a little bit more won't hurt. Any ideas on where to start?
-
Well found the problem. Plug cap on the right side went bad. Replaced and runs just like new again.
-
If this is the case, I wonder what it will cost to get that fixed? Not really something I want to tackle.
-
I will just take it in and have it checked out. The guy who built it said it might be the right crank seal on the clutch side?
-
Ok, I changed the plugs (they were fouled) and cleaned the dual K&N filters. It almost seems to be worse now. The surging is hard to describe. You know how if you take off in second or third gear the bike kind of struggles/chugs a bit to get going? It kind of feels like that. It almost feels like it is only firing on one side. However, when you get in the throttle a bunch and it comes on the pipe it just pulls like mad. Its only before getting on the pipe that it does this. My friend said that when I took off down the road it looked like a lot of smoke out one side of the pipes and not much out of the other. Here is a list of the mods, I do not know a lot about the bike but this is what I do know. Previous owner built the bike (has built 4 just like it), and may take it back down to him (100 miles away) but trying to diagnose it first to save me a drive if possible. He told me on his dyno it makes 76hp, 74 ft torque, which I assume is decent for a banshee. NOS Cool Heads with 20cc domes, compression 165, running 100 no lead fuel with Maxima 927 oil Wiseco pistons (not sure how much bored over), 4mil stroker crank Toomey T5 pipes Stock carbs with K&N filters w/outerwars Dune port work Ricky Stator w/adjustable timing plate V-Force reeds/spacers Barnett Clutches, Hinson clutch basket Not sure on the jets Any suggestions are appreciated.
