Starwriter Posted February 26, 2012 Report Posted February 26, 2012 Wouldn't it be nice if somebody made a billet rear caliper that did not need a park brake block off plate and used stock Banshee internal parts? Would definitely look good and we know the Banshee caliper works. Unlike a certain billet caliper sold by R(cough)IS. Quote
Phelps Posted February 26, 2012 Report Posted February 26, 2012 just use a polished front right caliper on a rear bracket... Quote
Starwriter Posted February 27, 2012 Author Report Posted February 27, 2012 WOW!! It works. Thanks! The only downside I see is that the bleeder screw is not quite at the top. So, to bleed the brakes, I'll need to lift up the back some. No big deal. It's not that often that you need to bleed the brakes. If you're doing this on a stock carrier, you'll probably need to take the caliper off, put something in between the pads, and bleed it with the bleeder screw at the top. The brake line will point a different direction, so if you're doing this swap and your brake line is just barely long enough, it will probably be too short with this caliper. Still, would be cool if somebody made a billet caliper. hint, hint, Mull, hint. Quote
camatv Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 taco's burritos ya know whatever works. there used to be a billet caliper and also used to be an alluminum brake rotor but it took funky pads to not eat the rotor up. Quote
tedd1 Posted February 29, 2012 Report Posted February 29, 2012 I am running a RIS caliper. What is the trouble with it? Quote
