Poolman Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 Hi Guys, I have my topend apart getting redone. My Boyeson reeds have been in the Banshee for 1 1/2 years. They look good, No chipping, Cracking, and seal good. They have never been flipped over. Question, Should I flip them over and if so Do you flip both the carbon fiber piece and the clear piece or what ? Thank You ! Quote
Poolman Posted February 23, 2012 Author Report Posted February 23, 2012 I went ahead and flipped the reeds. Stayed up all night working on the Banshee. I knew I was off work today so what the Hay. Putting the Carb's on now. These things are easy once youve stripped one down to the frame and put it all back together, fun too. Quote
bansheesandrider Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 My expierence with Boyesen reeds is that when you flip them over they will crack and break off very quickly. I did it once and they broke on the second day of riding after I did it. I would go back in and change them back to their original position. Good luck. Quote

2004LEBanshee Posted February 24, 2012 Report Posted February 24, 2012 pull them back and push on them to check for spidering as well. GL Quote
tedd1 Posted February 24, 2012 Report Posted February 24, 2012 After 5 years, I would just replace them. Don't cheap out and risk sucking a reed through the motor. Quote
