Hey guys putting my motor together and bought a new woodruff key.from the dealership and it had what looked to be a triangle stamped into it which caused one side to have a tiny bump not allowing it to sit properly on the crank so i bought another, with the same result. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I would just lap the key...

Lay a piece of 600grit wet/dry sandpaper on a genuinely flat surface. Drill press table works good... and lap it until it's flat again. It might take a little while, but it'll eventually work. Keep the sandpaper wet.

Its a dimmple that is used to make it go in, and then stay in while you put the flywheel in. Give it a love tap to seat it and put your flywheel on..

That is correct!!
