mhoksch Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 So spring is coming and that means trail riding again. I've got a buddy with a KFX700 that's been talking mad shit all winter about how he's going to walk all over my Banshee. Obviously I cant let that happen. His bike is stock but obviously alot bigger engine. Mine is 4mil, 34 mikunis, coolhead w/ pump gas domes, fmf fattys, reeds, 15/41 gears and probably a few other things (just got it). So my main question is will I be able to beat him or do I need to stick some more $ in it before summer? I know this shouldn't be that big of a deal, but the guy is a pretty big d-bag and I want to take his ego down a notch. Quote

I've never ridden a kfx, but I would imagine he wouldn't stand a chance against your 4mil. Yeah they might be fast, but i'm sure they are heavy as hell too. Quote
ticktock Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 Are you ported? 700's hav a lot of torque. Torque=power to the ground in those big bikes. Banshees build power from RPM. If you had a good ported 4mil you should be smoking him but more than likely he is going to take the holeshot because of tirespin. The banshee is the most reliable build able bike on the market. For under 500 you can rebuild and port your bike. For under 1200 you could go cub/serval since you have a crank. Banshees are a blast! Adam Quote
Glenyboy Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 Have you any suspension mods? Quote

Dicklez Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 another one of these posts?? Cam my buddy has a blown hemi charger. He said hes gonna walk all over me when we line them up. I have some fmf gold series pipes and a boost bottle. Do I stand a chance or do I need to sink some more $ into my banshee. Any help would be appriecated. Picklez Quote
yamahaxcracer Posted February 18, 2012 Report Posted February 18, 2012 i have raced a few guys with the kfx 700 on a drag ported 4mil by rudy kurtz,, just goofing off on dirt,, not a track.., if it isnt a race over 500 feet , it will walk on you.. they are automatic and 4 stroke so they hook right up out of the hole, even if they have no skill, all they have to do is pin the throttle,, and any banshee will not hook up in the dirt from the start.. road race, not too sure. i only goofed off racing them in loose dirt at an ohv area.. and lost everyone.., Quote
njbanshee Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 If you can ride you should have no problem beating him. Quote
