Burt Reynolds Posted February 15, 2012 Report Posted February 15, 2012 Just wandering the better rim and tire size is for trails and why? Quote
dirtydownunder Posted February 15, 2012 Report Posted February 15, 2012 more tyre (bigger profile ) will create a bigger footprint in the dirt and grip alot harder. but has more side wall, so when in turns/slides, it could bite and throw you. less tyres (lower profile) has less footprint but you can throw the bike around more as there is less side wall to flex. more tyre (20-11-9) is better for sand/dunes less tyre (20-11-10)is better for dirt/trails Quote
locogato11283 Posted February 15, 2012 Report Posted February 15, 2012 You need to stick with a 9" rim. There are far more tire options for a 9" rim than a 10" rim. You're not going to notice any difference in performance between the two. Quote
Larry's Shee Posted February 15, 2012 Report Posted February 15, 2012 Look around, far greater choices in 9' than 10" Quote
Burt Reynolds Posted February 15, 2012 Author Report Posted February 15, 2012 (edited) I figured 9s would have better protection from rocks,I wanted to try ohtsu's but i ended up ordering standard rzr's The rzr's dont hook as well as some tires but they last me for freaking ever Edited February 15, 2012 by Burt Reynolds Quote
