mhoksch Posted February 13, 2012 Report Posted February 13, 2012 Just bought a banshee yesterday. It's a 4mil stroker, ported, pipes, 38mm carbs and a few other things. It's got alot of power, but no top end. I cant tell what the front sprocket is, but there's a 44 on the rear. I plan on doing mainly trail riding and want something fairly versatile. Any suggestions for what sizes to go with? Quote
sheerider11 Posted February 13, 2012 Report Posted February 13, 2012 Factory gearing is a pretty good universal set up. Quote
Poolman Posted February 13, 2012 Report Posted February 13, 2012 I like a 13 tooth up front and 41 tooth in the rear. IMO the Banshee is already plenty fast enough and I mostly do trail riding myself. I wanted more low end torque with the ability to put put slow without throttling the clutch. It worked out real well and I don't plan on changing back to the stock set up. I think I lost a total of maybe 5 mph top speed. Quote

Poolman Posted February 13, 2012 Report Posted February 13, 2012 (edited) what is stock gearing? what hp2000 said. 14/41 If your going to make a change, always change your sprockets in sets. If you put a new front on put a new back on. Edited February 13, 2012 by Poolman Quote
Jereme6655 Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 if i remember correct its something like....every 3 teeth you add in the rear equals one tooth less in the front. that being said count your front sprocket....and then we can make better corrections to your gearing... Quote
