Larry's Shee Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 Just trying to cover ALL posibilities, wouldn't be first time it happened, won't be the last. If you're so fucking good with quads, why are you asking for help?? Quote

devan33 Posted January 25, 2012 Author Report Posted January 25, 2012 I took the parking brake off. I didnt realise there were so many little things that can cause such big problems. thank you guys. thats why i joined here, i figured this is where the most knowledge would be. parking brake still on the bike? if so that could be the problem. if not you probably have a dirty pilot. as far as the slides go, there are little balls on the side of each slide make sure they are facing the right side of the carbs (if your looking at the bike from the back) there are little bubble windows on the carbs thats what they are for, then just set them from there. hope this helps Quote
lt500rbigbore Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 you just took the parking brake off? and if so did it fix the problem. if not im going with Pilots being dirty Quote
troyzstang Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 So can we assume it was the parking brake sensor? I had the same issue a few bikes ago. I worked on that damn thing for a week. Finally unpluged that damn sensor and it was good to go. Quote
lt500rbigbore Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 ya lol my brothers shee was out of commission for a couple days because the pb. we went over eveeeeerrrything couldnt figure it out then finally we were just frigin with the pb then decided to try it an it worked fine after stupid things should not be on there Quote
devan33 Posted January 25, 2012 Author Report Posted January 25, 2012 I unhooked the parking brake and all tores before trying to start it. If its possible I think the groove on the slide is facing the left side. So is it possible I have the carbs on the wrong sides. I'm not 100% sure but think it faces the left. I didn't think I could put them on opposite sides and still hook up the crossover tube. I will double check all this tomorrow night. What size main jet sounds right for this once the toomey t-5 pipes show up Quote
