Just got a almost new carrier off my buddy already has a grease fitting on it mine just went back after the rebuild 2nd day I got everything done on here it decides to go so figured I would replace it ASAP well I have never done one of these this will be my first one looking around for any info on doing one did not see any videos on how to on youtube so can someone here help me out and give me a few tips aswell on getting this off and putting it back together thanks alot.

Well thanks but the brief that you gave me was already taken into consideration just need to know other specific problems I can run into and if I am possibly going to have to pound out the axle from the carrier etc..

If the axle is stuck, double nut the end , not with castle nuts, grab the carrier and slam axle against block of wood, or maybe whack it with hammer, or rig up a puller. Worse case take it to an auto parts/machine shop and have it pressed out.

 

I have a blaster axle that I couldn't get sprocket hub off with a puller and heating it cherry red. banghead

Dude, use a little bit of grammar in your post, I dont know about the other guys, but I thought you were trying to install a grease zerk in your carrier? Are you trying to do this, or replace your axle in your stock carrier? Lets start with this info first.

I just want to know how hard is it to change the fking carrier I could not find any info on youtube or on the search here so I made this post.
