Decide on what a-arms you would like to run, than they will tell you what length shocks they require.

Like stated above, different companies will require a different length, they usually vary 1/2-3/4"

Don't forget that tire size also plays a role in shock length. The taller tire will require a shorter shock and vice versa for a shorter tire. Your best bet is to get your arms, and then check shock length with the desired tire at 1.5" frame height and then in the 11.5" to 13" range depending on travel desired.

I had long travel setup that I bought from ALBA Racing and it used ELKA quad rates at 13". Ride was nice when I balanced it with the ELKA long travel rear... pricey but a nice set up.

yah i went a lil backwards but i was lucky to have scored a cheap set of used works black widows that are aapoxx 19 1/4 ''. now im looking for a set of arms that are a decent price but most importantly will work correctly . any thoughts?? thanks again
