11AGUY Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 just replaced my stock silencers with FMF powercore slip on's that will be attaching to the stock exhaust?? Do i need to rejet??? everything on the bike is STOCK...... Quote
Rustynail Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 The power you get from changing pipes comes from the expansion chamber..not really the silencers...i dont think silencers on stock head pipes would require a re jet Quote
11AGUY Posted January 5, 2012 Author Report Posted January 5, 2012 thanks for the quick response.... guy at the shop thought the same but he wasn't sure... taking the carbs off for some maintenance and thought i'd tackle it then if I has too.... good new though Quote
Larry's Shee Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 When you have them apart write down your jetting, needle clip posistion, and air screw settings for future reference. Quote

Next time you ride your bike just look at your plugs just to be safe. They will tell you if your too lean or not. Quote
Larry's Shee Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 (edited) Be sure to do one carb at a time as bowls and slides are different and can go on wrong carb Edited January 5, 2012 by Larry's Shee Quote
