Need a little more info for a good answer. Yes the 4 mill is a great mod but it really depends on what else you plan on doing to your motor?

the answer is yes and no.. The port timings need to be corrected.

If no porting is done... then the answer is no.. you'll actually make less power since the port timings will be jacked up.

so far i have the mods in my signature... what do you think i should do?

LOL you dont have a signature

NEWGH.....

it takes about $2000 of work to make a 4mil "correct"

you dont just toss in a crank and call it a day, cases have to be trenched, port the case, port cyl, 4mil head, 4mil pistons

list goes on and on, but you can send it to a builder along with your credit card and first born and like magic, in a few weeks you will have a 4mil sitting on your doorstep

your absolutely right. mine isnt back from FAST yet but im getting a 421 serval done and it was about 22-2300 dollars and thats not including carbs, pipes, intakes, reeds, and all the misc. stuff u need or forget so add another easy 1500

oh yes, I am sorry, I forgot about the supporting mods and parts.

pipes are critical to any 4mil, you can go as simple as some pro circuits or do some OOF pipes and dunable overides

once you go 4mil, you cant look back. you can run stock carbs but you wont get the full potential from your build.

just like pipes and porting, you can have a 4 mil but without them supporting mods and parts, your efforts were futile and will probably hurt your build in the long run without them and go slower than stock

Cases don't need to be trenched for a 4 mill.

your gonna need a crank, new domes, new exhaust, new cylinders (most ported cylinders are too far ported PAST what a 4mil port is) new pistons, new carbs (if you want the full potential)......etc, etc, etc.....

things that i see that you WONT need to buy from your sig.......engine cases, reeds, and the aftermarket head itself

There are so many things wrong in this post the only one I will say anything about is the case trenching. You do not trench cases for a 4 mill.

As far as what you need to do to make yours a 4 mill. First would be to have a builder look at your cylinders and see if they can be ported to run a 4 mill crank or not. If they are not able to be ported for a 4 mill then you would need cylinders. Your carbs would work just fine with a stock cylinder 4 mill and I do not see what pipes you are running in your sig but with the mods you have listed I am assuming you have aftermarket pipes and most pipes will work with a 4 mill it just depends on where you want the power to be. Basically you would need domes crank and pistons if your cylinders would work other wise you are looking at domes crank and cylinders

Sorry about that, i have pro circuit pipes. I hear so much about the 4mil and a serval? Im not new to a banshee, my dads had one since i was born which is why i got one. But theres alot of things ive learned from this sight. There are hardly any trails where im at bc suddenly everythings posted bc other riders have no RESPECT! so im looking to get into more of a field racer. I drag race all kinds of quads and really wanna make mine faster and more powerful. Im still trying to decide what to do. Whats a serval? Any opinions on what i should do?
