I switched from 30mm oki carbs to stock and removed tors yesterday and it wont idle I have the screws all the way in and still nothing it won't idle up enough. Could I put something like a washer up in the throttle box to keep a little gas on it to compensate. I filed the screw hole down right before I tapped and they are synched. I have the banshee ride at badland this Sunday and want it working right. Any suggestions or ideas?

Are you 100% positive you filed them done far enough? Some people. Including myself set their idle with the cables instead of the screws. (only in a pinch not forever) The screws are easier but you can use the cable if you have to.

Need to check if you filed the boss far enough. look at the slide from the air filter side of the carb & try moving the screw in or out & see if the slide move if there is no movement then you need to remove more off of the boss so the screw can reach the slide. Also check the slide are in the right way cut out facing the air filter. Hope this helps you out.

pull the slide out and then carefully run the screw all the way in by hand and then look in to the slide bore.....you should be able to see the idle screw with no problems.....if you can't see it then you need to file more of the boss. The screw is meant to acutally push the slide up slightly (holding the idle at a certain rpm) and if its not sticking into the inside of the carb......it wont move the slide......get it?

Filed the boss clear down to the threads on the idle screw tap. Got the right carb to work well but the left is still not working right and they are synched. At low idle the left side wont even fire half the time til I give it throttle. Im running 290and mains think I need to go to 270. Thoughts?

What's up with the left carb idle screw? Did you check to see if you have the slide in the right carbs? The cut out face the air filter. When it is idling & the left side is not firing pull up on the left carbs cable & see if the left side comes to life. Take some pic of the carbs & carbs screw & post them for use to look at. Keep us posted.

Yeah if I pull up on the cable it will fire its only when there is no throttle also I took the slides out of both carbs and they are in right.

Also when I look through the air filter hole I can see the right carb slide is up a little and idles nice bit the left is all the way down and my left idle screw is sticking out really far in there. Farther than the left

Ok then pull both idle screw out and compare the two to see if one is long or shorter. maybe you got some mix matched screws or the end that push on the slide are different. You can also try to switch the two screw around & if the right carb will not work then you found it.
