Hi guys, I have a issue that has been bothering me. When im in neutral idling and i pull the clutch and pop it in gear the bike jerks and it is hard to idle. This is odd to me since i just replaced the clutch and adjusted the arm with the 2 arrows on the case and adjusted the cable, but it still does it.... I use 10w40 atv oil and change it regularly. does anyone have any ideas why this is still happening? I just rebuilt the whole motor and the bike is immaculate right now but the damn clutch is still doing that. It is rideable because when i stop i pop it in neutral and once the engine warms up it will idle in gear but it is still grabbing.. Thanks for any input

Hows the adjustment at the lever?

Those arrows are just to give you an idea, you may need to adjust the clutch a little differently....

at the clutch lever the cable is almost all the way out, is it possible the cable is stretched? Also, i diddnt know the adjustment on the case was just to give an idea, i thought it would be dead nuts with those arrows pointing at eachother lol, guess not, good to know.

It sounds like your adjustments not disengaging they clutch all the way. You my have to adjust the adjustment on the plate.

im not sure what you mean by adjusting the plate, do you mean the pancake bearing or whatever that adjusts the 2 arrows on the case? maybe push it more out? sorry for the confusion

also.....even when your clutch is correctly adjusted the charecteristics of these bikes will still jump when you first put the bike into gear from neutral...

I agree, and my cousin "Vook" has a banshee too with a stock clutch setup and his doesnt do it as much, ever since i changed the clutch it has been much easier to pop into neutral (it was nearly impossible before) but still jumping in gear.

No prob man. Heres a vid if anyone else needs it.

I did adjust the clutch exactly the same as the video and still have the same issue, with an aftermarket clutch do you use that big o-ring that before the fibers and steel plates? I know the steel plates are all perfectly round and dont have the tab that the stock ones have but not sure about that big o-ring.......

Im pretty sure those o rings are designed to cut down on the vibration and "catchiness" of the clutch... Not sure if they are required on aftermarket clutches...
