UPbansheeRacer Posted September 15, 2011 Report Posted September 15, 2011 my bikes flooding out when i turn the petcock on i dont know why when the petcock is off and its running out of gas it runs like new any ideas? Quote
Jereme6655 Posted September 15, 2011 Report Posted September 15, 2011 it sounds as if your carb is having an issue with the floats. I would pull the carbs out and clean the living hell out of them. I would make sure that you clean out EVERY passage way........if that doesn't stop the leak then it would be your needle and needle seat that is leaking in the carbs... Quote

94Mike Posted September 15, 2011 Report Posted September 15, 2011 (edited) Are the carbs overflows leaking? I had an issue like yours and it ended up being my float height. But I replaced my fuel valve and the fuel valve seat, but it turns out the floats got messed up as the tips of the pins got mushroomed somehow (i had to beat the pins out) so I got replacement floats. Larry's Shee Posted September 15, 2011 Report Posted September 15, 2011 Little trick I learned on another forum, take needle seats out, use toothpaste on Q-tip to clean inside of seats, be surprised amount of crap that ends up on tip. Also check that O-ring on outside of it is good (seat to carb body) Quote

Larry's Shee Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 Ya, basically using it to polish the seat where the needle contacs it Quote
