Justin k Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 i have fmfs but i want to change them to t5 which is better Quote
Infamous039 Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 T5 pipes I would say are better, but FMF are good pipes as well. Quote
Dicklez Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 I think it depends on what type of power you are looking for. I run FMF and have a lot of low end power. Never owned Toomeys but think the T5 will give you more top end power. Quote
camatv Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 that set of old'y FMF's looks really cool!! that particular pipe design dosent run for shit tho.. the fatty is a great pipe MOST like the way the toomey sounds. similar motors will probably run similar with both sets of pipes.. SST"S have more overrev than a t-5 simple fact.. BUT they sound like fmf's.. Quote

apeik Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 It's actually just satin black 1000 degree paint, comes in quarts Quote
camatv Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 well hell wonder where i get that at/\ Quote
apeik Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 (edited) well hell wonder where i get that at/\ It's rust-oleum specialty high heat satin finish, i got mine from home depot. paint link.. just sand it using 120-220 or whatnot, and use a cup gun, it comes out pretty good this way. I used a buffing wheel and white/red rouge on the polished parts, these pipes looked terrible before i painted them. Edited August 30, 2011 by apeik Quote
camatv Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 ahh BBQ paint! i have used that before.. the pipes i have look like rust buckets. Quote
apeik Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 ahh BBQ paint! i have used that before.. the pipes i have look like rust buckets. They also sell twisted wire wheels for angle grinders, that will take all the rust off, it also takes the gold finish off, the downside is they're like 20 bucks for a wheel, they're indestructable though. wire wheels. it's quite a bit of work wire wheel'ing pipes, but it takes it down to bare metal and leaves a pretty smooth fiinish. Dunes98 Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 I run t5's on my bansh. I also have two friends with pretty much the same bansh and one runs the fmf's and the other has t5's.. The fmf's pull harder out of the hole, but the t5's have a better mid and top end, and he runs him down. Pisses my buddy off every time. Needless to say he is looking for a set of t5's. Quote
camatv Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 ive used a bench grinder with a wire wheel on it to clean pipes in the past. Quote
