I want to know whats the best setup for the banshee so i can ride it for 1-2 hours straight without it messing up!

I had a completely stock 2001 banshee a few weeks ago. Put about 60-75 miles on it in 10 hours on a 80 degree day out. Rode it with little breaks in between. No problems what so ever. It was a stock machine with only 15 hours on it though.

I would assume even the highly modded machines around here can surely last a few hours with no problems.

Why would you think your machine would start breaking? Just bring extras out on the trail with you ------ Spark plugs, wrenches, carb/choke cleaner, screw driver, etc.

Cuz my banshee gets hot in like 15 minutes of riding! really hot,

i think i need a new water pump impeller-_-

Get some engine ice when you get a new impeller. Shouldn't be an issue if you keep moving, they usually just get hot if you are idle for a bit. Might want to check your jetting as well, if your running lean your engine will run hot.

how do you know its runnig hot? do you have a temp gauge?

Because the pipes get hot too quick, like in 1-3 minutes, but i mean hot as f*ck

What do you expect? Exhaust gasses exit at about 1200F if jetted correct, 1400F or more if lean :whoa: (or if too much timing)

I highly suggest doing a lot more reading on here to understand what's going on with your machine in general. Follow threads dealing with jetting, also use the search function. Read threads where O P has a simular set-up to yours.

Pipes getting hot is normal. I've burnt the shit out of my legs on my CPI's before.

But if your bike is getting too hot and you cant ride it for very long, it could be a number of things.

Air leak

Lean jetting

Bad impeller

Bad impeller gear

Lack of air flow to the radiator

I wouldnt use engine ice. It will corrode your parts because it doesnt have anti corrosive properties like coolanol does. Just use coolanol.
