witaker custom racing and the owner is greg. send it to him including the shift forks and he can identify the issue. another thing it can be is slipping clutches. if you have a lockup try adding weight and or replace the fibers if they are worn.

also i had the exact same prob with my 1-5 it would shift fine every couple pass but then i found out you need to have your shifter perfectly adjusted or it will not shift right

So just mess with shifter up or down?

the shift shaft has 2 centering springs. you need to adjust the ecentric bolt to make sure the hooks are centered over the shift star pins.

if everything inside is EXCELLENT!!! the shifter itself may be to low. raise it up one spot and try again a LOT of the time riders get all to anxious and wont let the shifter back down to make the next shift enough. it wont shift if the arm cannot get to the next pin..
