Turboshee421
I like stock with a plate, I dont like the pvl cuz of the flat line curve and weak spark
Rotax Raptor
Funny you bring this up. I just bought a 10mm from a major builder ( don't want to mention the name due to professionalism ) and talk him today about the ignition to use. He said, do not use a pvl ignition on his motor. Stick with stock and advanced the timing 12 degrees for alcohol. That's my two cents.
camatv
every PVL bike i have been around has had issue's bad coil, screwed up stator plate it always something with those piles. nology coil, dyna ignition, stock OEM stator, lighten flywheel yea buddy!@
dajogejr
Stock CDI, Nology Coil, stock flywheel, timing set from 7 to 12, depending on "other" things... I've never, ever had any kind of ignition problems.
J-Madd
Too many things to troubleshoot with the PVL. 2 stators and 2 coils. It's hard to tell what's wrong with a pvl when (not if) it starts screwing up. They also offer no advantage (imo) over stock. Like was said, the curve is real flat on them and they don't retard enough at higher rpms. That being said, some run them and love them. I basically gave a way about 5 complete pvl setups a couple of years ago.
