kamp0ss Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 I was tightening my breather today, and I must have tightened it too far.. It punctured through the bowl and put a hole in the side. I need to fix it asap because I am going away to ride wed-sun. Someone mentioned JB Weld. I really just need to plug the hole somehow to get through the week and I will order a new carb when I get back. I don't have time to order one now. Are there any other methods of patching this for the time being? Does anyone recommend JB Weld? Thanks Quote
ECshee Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 vacuum cap and permatex ultra black rtv ftw! Or, if its a flat spot. jb a dime to it haha. Anyone else remember jb welding pennies to people's car door locks? Quote
Jereme6655 Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 yes....you can jb weld carbs. just make sure to take your time and get it right. if its on the bowl then take the bowl off to ensure that its not poking through and hanging up the floats.... Quote
