cobalt Posted July 21, 2011 Report Posted July 21, 2011 I just did a rebuild an made the mistake of not tightening the front sproket nut down am it came off while riding. Luckly the chain didnt come off an far as can see no dmg done. Does anyone happen to know what size an threads that nut is or can you point me in the direction where i can find the sizes? Quote
lms1977 Posted July 21, 2011 Report Posted July 21, 2011 just go to a dealer or find someone on here that sells parts I'm sure someone will have one. Quote
bode1 Posted July 21, 2011 Report Posted July 21, 2011 Just PM Nyuk. He probably has a ton of them and the lock washer. You'll probably get it faster and cheaper than ordering it from a dealer etc. Quote
Jereme6655 Posted July 21, 2011 Report Posted July 21, 2011 actually just saw this happen a few weeks ago. make sure you take a REAL good look at the trans shaft (where the sproket sits on).....as when i saw this happen it chewwed up the threads on the shaft enough that the nut wouldnt fit back on. We limped it by for the rest of the weekend by taking a large dye that slightly threaded on and cranking it down tight to hold the sprocket on. hoakie but it held for the weekend. Now we get to split the cases to replace a hardened shaft.... Quote
