BrockMoto Posted July 11, 2011 Report Posted July 11, 2011 I have seen alot about wet conditions causing issues when not using an airbox.... I have aftermarket carbs and no airbox... Is there a filter option that helps or do I have to get the airbox back? Looking at uni's with outerwears maybe our would kn be better? Quote
blacksnakes Posted July 12, 2011 Report Posted July 12, 2011 I can't keep out of the puddles with my shee I have a air box with k&n air filters with the oils on the filter and a outer fine mesh and I still get some water in the air box Quote
BrockMoto Posted July 12, 2011 Author Report Posted July 12, 2011 is it causing issues? the thread I was reading mentioned issues with the stock carbs.. don't know if maybe my flat slides solve it... or a wet filter is a wet filter Quote
blacksnakes Posted July 12, 2011 Report Posted July 12, 2011 I am going through the bike tonight and giving all the electric connections a good clean and also installing a new stator rubber ,then I will try again in the same puddle and see what happens Quote
camatv Posted July 12, 2011 Report Posted July 12, 2011 stay out of the puddle? if you want to get wet get a boat?? Quote

However after market carbs we have no heard of doing this when they come in contact with water. So if your gonna go swimming with your bike......just make sure you keep her from hydrolocking......but you should be totally safe when it comes to having aftermarket carbs... Quote
