Hey I have a pre 90s shee and just rebuilt my front master cylinder brakes and used a syringe to force bleed the air out. The brakes aren't good as they should be still. Decent but the lever is still a little weak. I wanted to replace one of the bleed nipples because when I loosen to bleed.. A little fluid drip from the base only problem is I don't know what size it is. 7x1.0mm maybe? Can't take it of because it's full of fluid once again. Any one know or could autozone possibly carry this banshees size instead of going through Yamaha. Thanks in advance!

so alot of people dont think about it.....BUT.....when you loosen a bleeder valve it CAN leak from the threaded area. this is because they are a slight tapered fit. so as soon as you loosen it your taking the squish out of the nipple which losses the seal.

also take a look at your brake lines....on old bikes the rubber is weaker (because of time) so when you squeeze the brakes in hard your brake lines may actually be bulging and that's why you could still have a soft lever. THAT....and banshees are nutorious for having super hard to bleed brakes....

Thanks. Ive considered the lines but they feel good and don't bulge to the naked eye at least. Just wasn't sure if the fluid leaking out could cause a slight problem while bleeding. But I will keep working them and maybe Teflon the fitting. I was able to lock the wheels up on dirt if I press hard so maybe that should be good enough.
