sleeper06 Posted July 3, 2011 Report Posted July 3, 2011 Gas will depend on compression, but if its a 4mill duneport with 20s you should kick around 185psi,your port work will effect your compression so check it first,IMO anything over 165 i run pure 110 its safe with +4 timing.Start at 160 main,48 pilot, cel needle 4th clip Quote
4millshee Posted July 5, 2011 Author Report Posted July 5, 2011 ahh i forgot to mention that its no longer a 4mill its got a stock stroke weisco crank Quote
Larry's Shee Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 have you had it running since you went back to stock stroke? Quote
4millshee Posted July 6, 2011 Author Report Posted July 6, 2011 I have not is been down for 2 years and just now got time to get it going again Quote
sleeper06 Posted July 7, 2011 Report Posted July 7, 2011 hopefully you are using diffrent cylinders the port heights will be off some on 4mil jugs Quote
4millshee Posted July 7, 2011 Author Report Posted July 7, 2011 No I am still using my 4 mill cylinders I just took a hard stone grinder and ground them down till they fit good with the shorter stroke. And for the porting I coated them with some quick dry jb weld and sanded them by hand to what I thought looked good...... Come On guys lol I'm not stupid I have the right shit on the motor I just wanted to know some rough estimate jet help lol Quote
Pasi S. Posted July 7, 2011 Report Posted July 7, 2011 What pipes? I have 64.5 ported stock cyls with Noss Head/20cc domes. It has zero riding time with my resent mod´s, but I was going to start with 155 mains, 42 pilots and CEL in the middle. I also have 35PWKs. My porting was not made by any Professional. -Pasi S. Quote
4millshee Posted July 8, 2011 Author Report Posted July 8, 2011 Toomey T5s and I ordered some parts from fast and Jeff said 155 160 range would be a good starting point. Let me know how yours runs like that Quote
camatv Posted July 8, 2011 Report Posted July 8, 2011 what did you "grind down?? where did you put "epoxy at? if the motor was set up for pop up domes and 115 rod the port numbers on a stock stroke std dome motor willbe close enough it should run fine.. Quote
4millshee Posted July 8, 2011 Author Report Posted July 8, 2011 Ok I didn't really epoxy or gring anything it was a joke for thinking I would use 4 mill jugs on a STD stroke Quote

Let me know how yours runs like that OK, we have same pipes. Last year my porting was "un -finished" and it was missing seriously low end and it was peaky. In the winter time I had a 160 mains, xxx needles in the middle, and 42 pilots 1 or 1.5 turns out, and that was -4*C. In the summer time I was using 150(+32*C) to 155 and 40 pilots 1.5 to 2.5 turns. ( I didn´t have any smaller mains or pilots, and I was using a different needle in the summer time) Now I´m going to have a smoother powerband, because I have finished my porting. I don´t know anything about the CEL´s with those small pilots, but let´s see... If everything goes well. My motor runs in the middle of the next week. -Pasi S. Quote
