shift star cutting

Is there anyone out there that has performed there own shift star cut down.. is there a NASA Art to this or can i do it myself?

people over on blasterforum do it all the time. no science to it id just get a pic of one somebody had done and match it

if your talking about the shift star mod all you do is take it to you bench grinder and round off the points but DO NOT GRIND THE DIVIT neutral

If you use a bench grinder to do it, make sure you go over it with some fine sand paper or a sand paper drum on a dremel and smooth it out. When you're done you want a nice smooth surface for the shift star roller to ride on.

I did my own and yes it helps the feel of the shift (not as notchy) as well as gettin it to shift.

Finding neutral will be harder though because it will want to slip right past it into the next gear.

I've found it's easier to find neutral coming from 2nd gear or shutting the bike off and finding it with your hand.

I just spent the 35 bucks and bought the Cascade one, works awesome and huge difference.
