bansheeyfz450 Posted June 26, 2011 Report Posted June 26, 2011 (edited) This is my 3rd banshee, but its been about 5 years since my last. I did not put them on my last 2. Should I take it off? Is there any power gain or loss? My build is, 2000 Banshee, T5's, Cool Head, VForce 3 reeds, stock carbs, pro flow adaptor with k&n, I haven't had a chance yet to pull the carbs off to see if the jugs are ported. Azryll Posted June 26, 2011 Report Posted June 26, 2011 I had one on my old Banshee a long time ago and I never noticed a gain or decrease in power/throttle response. Some people think they look cool but I think they just take up space. Quote
patsbansh Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 No purpose just a money scheme and looks. A guy on here once told me it was the equivilent of a Roost Boost. No purpose exept a confidence builder. Just telling you what was told to me Quote
knelson Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 (edited) No performance added, however It will wear the rubber boots from vibration (weight) and they will eventually crack at the base causing a air leak, burning up your engine. ask me how I know.....On the flip side, Do you want to buy a white bros boost bottle, I got one cheap Edited June 27, 2011 by knelson Quote
Larry's Shee Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 I thought it was a myth too until I was putting my son's back together, sure enough it was developing cracks. I used some pvc caps, threebond, clamps = done. No bottle, no tube Quote
knelson Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 Does capping them off effect the idle in any? Quote
DallasGDub Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 Mine are capped, does not seem to effect anything. Quote
