well i putting crank seals in my banshee are there tricks to them? like i was told to pack them with grease and either glue or put yamabond around them? is that right and is there anything else? i just want to do this right

I am sure some people put yamaha bond on them but I have always installed them dry and never had any issues at all.

i would only grease where the crank would ride on the seal... thats what i dop.. no problems yet.. however on my serval build i yamabond base gaskets and water plugs.......to each is own

The good news is, your package has left Tampa, FL.

hhahaha yah i said installing and spelled it wrong so i went to paste it and it was my tracking number lol i feel like a retard but it wouldnt let me fix it

use OEM seals.. period..

 

i usually smear a very thin coat of yamah bond on the outside of the seal around the case. i have also put them in dray with no problems.

 

never ever ever use sealer on a base gasket escpecially the paper ones it WILL blow out.
