gstaten24 Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 could you please find me a chain for any atv that doesn't have a master link. and by chain, i mean the drive chain, no the timing chain. i thought the same thing as you until i went to change my wifes sprockets on her yfz450r. no masterlink, confused the hell outta me lol had to use the old bicycle trick to get the chain back on the new sprockets Quote
DallasGDub Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 And what does that mean? I was talking about Cam, it is a joke from an old thread on another website. Quote
bansheesandrider Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 Actually most chains from the factory have no master link. I am sure I will get lots of people saying I am wrong buts that okay lol. Most of the factory ones came without a master link and you had to cut a link out and put a master in it if you wanted to reuse it. And to answer your question a grinder is a much easier way to remove a link than a chain breaker. I have bought 4 Banshees new and 1 Blaster new , plus my riding buddie have bought at least 4 other Banshees new and EVERY one of them had a master link. The non masterlinkk chains usually come on streetbikes. Quote
