theshee Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 I read today that rampage is next inline for a beatdown from Jon jones later in the year ( after he beats evans) depending if he passes a medical over his damaged hand Jones is not fighting evans. Evans is getting Phil Davis, and Jones is getting either Rampage (if his hand fracture heals) or Machida. Quote

They have rashaad the option to wait and be out of the octagon for over two years, OR take the Davis fight to get some time back in there and take the risk of losing his title shot later. In all honesly, they didnt want to fight eachother, and I think once Dana found out the fans reaction that nobody on earth wants to watch rashaads boring worthless ass fight he found a way around it. The people want to see Machida vs. Jones and i think thats what we are headed for. Quote
Glenyboy Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 I'd prefer to see machida fight him, he's probably a bit more comfortable now after knocking randy c's tooth out he didn't seem right when he fought rampage, he spent a little too much time on the back foot which is saw the judges give rampage the win, plus rua gave it to him a couple of times and that can really take a toll on the mind. Be an interesting fight as machida's experience and great counter attacking will give him the best chance out of all the others of beating jones. Quote
