beaudry Posted May 24, 2011 Report Posted May 24, 2011 I just bought a used set of bills pipes and fmf silencers but I can't get to stock exhaust springs on. One is to tight and the other is to lose was wondering if new ones were need for the install. Also what kind of jetting should I be running for that exhaust with k&n filter with no lid at 1100ft above sea level. Quote
jackass_25 Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 Go to the hardware store and get longer springs, simple cheap fix there. As for jetting, if the K&N and pipes are your only upgrade I'd start around 280 mains and you probably gotta up a size on your pilot to 27.5 as well. Quote

My engine was stock except for bills pipes and K&n Filter and I was running 280 main and 32 pilots. You can try 27.5 pilots but you might have to go 30 pilots if it "gargles" at low rpm. I am at 750 ft above sea level. (That was before I done a total rebuild and alot of mods now). It ran good with them jets in mine. Quote
