Sup Guys, This is my first banshee and I got it apart and rebuilding motor from bottom end up.

I got a question and this is probably a dumb one but here I go.

The guy I got this banshee from told me if I lost power band ever to check this wire that is grounded on the frame. This wire comes from the parking brake on the clutch side lever... The thing is the wire goes nowhere Its got another wire that is cut and one is grounded... I want to just put a asv clutch lever on and eliminate that wire and everything. The bike came with trinity 2 to 1 intake, stage Iv trinity exhaust.. I am putting new crank in and porting cylinders and milling head, along with a bunch of other lil things.

Anyway Here are the pics can someone please tell me if I can just take this off and put just a clutch lever without this other shit.

Thanks

Your tors system is removed so I think there is no need for that now, double check in a tors removal post though in the search section.

Thats what I figured.. It was running like this before and he deff did the tors removal.. I just dont understand what the hell he was talking about when he said this one wire that runs nowhere besides one wire being grounded would have anything to do with losing power. I just want to remove the whole lever assembly with parking brake and just add a clutch lever and it looks like I should have no problem doing it. I just dont want to have problems when I get it back together.

Thanks,

follow the wire for the parking brake back to the cdi box and remove it there. keeps it from shorting out in the future. thats a real fun one to figure out when you are riding.

thats the thing the wire from the parking brake goes nowhere besides grounded on the frame... the other wire was just cut and sitting there.. doesnt make sense to me.. im just gonna remove the grounded wire and put on the new levers.. If i have a problem I will narrow it down when the bikes back together.

Thanks,
