Pat the one the only Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 Im rebuilding my banshee and i had free 450 a arms that i put on, i just want to know if the a arms are likely to have the ball joints blow apart from the extra stress cause that could really be bad in some of the places i ride if it makes me lose control Quote
Phelps Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 yeah i watched one break at little sahara pulling up to the drag racing line. idk if i would blame it on added stress, or just a junk design. just replace them with the aftermarket ones. Quote

madjimmax Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 If your using the yfz spindles it shouldnt be a problem, but with the shee spindles I could see where this could happen. Quote
Larry's Shee Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 Lowers are replacable but not uppers. Quote
Pat the one the only Posted May 10, 2011 Author Report Posted May 10, 2011 i dont really have the money for new ones so i should probobly get the yfz spindles and new bottem ball joints right? do i have to run 450 brakes with the new spindles? Quote
Fastassbanshee96 Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 No you can run either but I've heard tge 450 brakes are better. Quote
Pat the one the only Posted May 11, 2011 Author Report Posted May 11, 2011 okay, about how much is a set of yfz spindles? i really dont want to spend a fortune but i dont want it to come apart and wreck me and the quad Quote
madjimmax Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 You should be able to pick some up from ebay pretty cheap. And as far as the brakes, the yfz450 calipers are dual piston as where a shee caliper is only single piston. Quote
camatv Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 just put on a set of stock arms and save your pennies till you have th emoney for ones that fit.. unless you like the hospital and have good insurance.. Quote
fastquad02blaster Posted June 5, 2011 Report Posted June 5, 2011 The way that the a arm and spindle meet is at a really bad angle. I'm going to raise my a arm mount up an inch or two and that should get it aligned better. I'm thinking it will help that suspension setup handle better too. Quote
