cracker-82 Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 I just bought a 98 shee and it has a twist throttle and i want to change it back to the thumb throttle. The question i have is what is the difference between the thumb throttle for the 87-94 and the one for 95-06. There is a post on ebay for a brand new one in box for $50 but its for the 87-94. Could i buy it and make it work or would i need to get the 95-06. Any info would help. Im new to the shee world and trying to soak up the knowledge. Thanks, Travis Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 Yup, it will work just the same for you. But first post a wanted ad for one on here. You will score a pretty much brand new one fore $20 or less. Quote
tedd1 Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 The difference will be the later models had the TORS switch. Quote
cracker-82 Posted May 4, 2011 Author Report Posted May 4, 2011 The bike does have the TORS on it but in putting the thumb throttle on I will be eliminating the TORS. So the only difference in the 2 throttle deals with the TORS? I wont have anything to worry about then. Thanks for your help. Quote
bansheesandrider Posted May 5, 2011 Report Posted May 5, 2011 (edited) The difference will be the later models had the TORS switch. Wrong, all Banshee thumb throttles have the TORS switch in them. my 89,96,97 and my friends 87,93,94,95,99, 02s all came with it. Edited May 5, 2011 by bansheesandrider Quote
