hahah its funny because iv been helping you for a bit here and now I just had the exact same problem in my bike. Sometimes the float height is exactly right but somebody has messed with the little flap on the floats. Check to see if they have the same angle on both carbs. Also move the floats up and down on both carbs and see how much the little plug thing moves. try to blow air through where the gas goes in with the floats removed and see if air flows freely and equal on both carbs. if theres any difference you just need to make them the same.

well i figured it out... it's not the carbs or the floats... my problem was actually due to my petcock getting clogged up from shit in my tank... i kept testing it out with low fuel levels. once i filled that bitch up it cleared the shit off the petcock steams and let the gas flow. I cleaned my tank and petcock out and now it rips. However, when i got low on gas again it started to cut out again.

This time i realized it was the angle of my fuel line going to the left carb. It was angled upward from the T-connector and when i was low on gas it just wasnt getting enough gas to the left carb. I shortened the line to the carb to reduce the angle and increase gas flow. so far no probs and it ripps!!!

this problem started right after i installed a boost bottle which also made my gas line angle upward slightly from the petcock. That little bit of increased angle was just enough to reduce to flow. Combined with that angle and the upward angle form the T-connector was just enough to fuck my shit up. All good now though...

I appreciate everyones comments!

well, then appreciate this comment-

"ditch the boost bottle and go back to the stock tube"

if it hasn't killed the intakes yet, it will. and one more thing- check your tip-over safety balls in the fuel cap, and vent hose. those can plug it up and keep you from getting decent fuel to the carbs.

The pro circuits are same pipes i've ran for the last 3 years or so...

So i found an old gas vent tube and did the carb swap... its a problem with the carb. The right cylinder cut out just the same as the left when i switched them out.

So i took the carbs out, through size 30 pilots in both carbs and adjusted the adjust tang on the float in the left carb to allow more fuel to enter. Still the same deal... not firing barely at all on the left side.

Maybe i need to adjust the tang a little more? lol...

When i first removed the carbs it was obvious that the carb that is giving me problems had barely any fuel in it compared to the good working carb.

When i measured the float height in both carbs they appeared dead even. This problem started with the same set up i was running for a few years so it seems odd to me that all of the sudden the bowl on one carb is being sucked dry. And them still the same problem after all the upgrades and cleaning.

Is adjusting the tang the way to try and fix this problem?? I'm pretty sure i lowered the float height to allow more fuel to enter. Maybe i did it backwards? Or just maybe not enough?

Or just maybe i'm going to beat the shit out of my carb!!

:shootself:
