Ingram306 Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 So I put the new carbs on the banshee and I had ripped out my old cracked vent lines that ran down into the swingarm.. I remember seeing a thing from Works Connection that ran the carb vents up into the airbox. Apparently this was supposed to help with bogging in whooped track sections. Anybody have any experience with this? Or just a gimmick Quote
KlotzBanshee Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 I've never seen one from Work Connection, but PC Racing makes the “Dial-a-Jet” set up like that. It’s supposed to help when your jetting isn't spot on for the riding conditions. I've heard of guys using it when ascending or descending from high altitude mountain climbs like Pikes Peek. Quote
Ingram306 Posted April 19, 2011 Author Report Posted April 19, 2011 I've seen the dial-a-jet, this was different. It was a small box, maybe like 2x3 inches that mounted in the airbox and the vent lines ran into it. I saw it in the Dennis Kirk catolog but haven't seen it anywhere else Quote
Ingram306 Posted April 20, 2011 Author Report Posted April 20, 2011 I was wrong it wasnt made by Works Connection, it was made by PC Racing.... http://pcracingusa.com/store/index.php?cPath=12&osCsid=8bd90ocakjpsv5sniqmf9rdk64 Anyone have any experience? Does anybody vent their carbs into the airbox even without this? Quote

Does anybody vent their carbs into the airbox even without this? That's exactly what I was thinking of...but I swear they used to call it Dial-a-jet in their advertisements in DirtWheels. I guess I'll have to dig up some old DW mags. ...Never used one either way. But Hell, for 20 bucks give it a shot and let us know how it works out. Quote
KlotzBanshee Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 (edited) Well I looked it up in some old DirtWheels mags I had and I was mistaken. The Dial-a-jet is different, and made by Thunder Racing Products not PC Racing...Sorry I got the two confused My bad. Edited April 20, 2011 by AssWhore Quote
