sangheraent Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 alright so I went high compression on my bike and invested in a drum pump system for my bike and I wanted to know if anyone else mixes 50gals at a time? is it safe? i was thinking of just mixing it with a clean pipe every time I pumped it to make sure I get an even amount of oil. i can invest in a meter, id rather not there expensive but that is an option. so it will allow me to pump exactly 20l at a time or whatever amount and just mix it one jug at a time. Ruko Posted April 9, 2011 Report Posted April 9, 2011 My riding buddy has been mixing his in the drum for years. I was a bit leery about the oil separating after time so I still mix mine in the can but he hasn't had any issues. Quote
sangheraent Posted April 9, 2011 Author Report Posted April 9, 2011 yea I am planning on mixing the fuel every time before I pump it. I have a clear gas jug and when I initially pour the oil in i can see it pooling on the bottom, but after a good mix it the color seems constant for a long time. Quote
camatv Posted April 9, 2011 Report Posted April 9, 2011 use a ratio rite cup always mix in the can before use at least my opinion. shake the can before you fill up every time. i also drain the tank after the ride if there is any left and keep the extra in the sealed gas can evaporation goes faster than you think..
